## Querying This Documentation
This site has an agentic ask interface you may use to query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://hashhedge.gitbook.io/hashhedge-user-guide/index.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

# Welcome to Hash Hedge

Hash Hedge funds traders: you prove yourself on a Challenge, then trade the company's capital and keep most of what you make. If a Challenge is a new idea to you, read [What is a Challenge](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/challenge-what-is) first.

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>80–90%</strong></td><td>of the profit is yours</td></tr><tr><td><strong>$5,000–$200,000</strong></td><td>account sizes to choose from</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Every 14 days</strong></td><td>how often you can take a payout</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="info" %}
**There is no time limit.** A Challenge has no deadline, so you can trade at your own pace. What can end it early is a breached loss limit, not a clock.
{% endhint %}

## How it works

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Create an account

It takes under a minute: email, password, done.

[How to register a Hash Hedge account](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/create-account)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Buy a Challenge

Pick an account size from $5,000 to $200,000 and pay in USDT or USDC.

[How to buy a Challenge](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/buy-challenge)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Pass the evaluation

Reach the profit target in each stage, trade on at least **5 separate days** in that stage, and stay inside the Daily loss and Total loss limits.

[Rules, stages and loss limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules)

Clearing Stage 1 also unlocks a one-time cash reward, see [Stage 1 Reward](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/stage1-reward).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Become a Trader

Once you clear the evaluation your account moves to the **Trader** stage straight away. From there you trade a funded account.

[Becoming a Trader](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/becoming-a-trader)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Take your payout

Withdraw your share in USDT every 14 days, on any of six networks.

[Profit share and payouts](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/profit-payouts)

Keep showing results and your funded account can grow for free, see [Scaling Plan](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/scaling-plan).
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

# What Is a Challenge

A Challenge is an evaluation.

It's how you show that you can trade profitably while respecting risk limits. Pass it, and you get a funded account to trade with the company's capital.

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>80–90%</strong></td><td>of the profit you generate is yours</td></tr><tr><td><strong>$5,000–$200,000</strong></td><td>account sizes</td></tr><tr><td><strong>No time limit</strong></td><td>trade at your own pace</td></tr></tbody></table>

## How a Challenge works

Challenge types differ in how many evaluation stages you pass. In each stage you need to:

* **Reach the profit target** for that stage,
* **Trade on at least 5 separate days** in that stage (**3** in the One-stage Challenge), and
* **Stay within the loss limits** (a daily loss limit and a total loss limit).

Reaching the target does not end the stage on its own. You can pass the target on your second day and still owe the remaining trading days.

In the **Two-stage Challenge** the profit target is **5%** in Stage 1 and **6%** in Stage 2, measured against your account size. The **One-stage Challenge** asks for a higher **10%** target within tighter **3%** daily / **6%** total loss limits. See [Challenge types](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/challenge-types).

Once you clear the evaluation, your account moves to the **Trader** (funded) stage straight away.

## What you get, and what it costs

|              |                                                                                                                                                                                                     |
| ------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Account** | A funded account that trades the company's capital, not your own. |
| **Profit** | **80%** of the profit you generate, or **90%** with the Profit Split add-on. |
| **Leverage** | Up to **1:5** on both markets. |
| **Fee** | A one-time fee to start a Challenge. It depends on the account size you choose, from $5,000 to $200,000. See [Challenge types](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/challenge-types) for the full list. |

# Challenge types

Hash Hedge offers two live challenge types, the **One-stage Challenge** and the **Two-stage Challenge**, plus an **Instant** account **coming soon**. On the **US Stocks** market only the **Two-stage** Challenge is offered. See [Trading US Stocks](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/stocks-terminal).

Both live types lead to the **Trader** stage, where you trade a funded account with real payouts; they differ in how many evaluation stages you pass, and in their targets, loss limits and fees. At checkout you also choose a **market** and an account size from **$5K to $100K**, or up to **$200K** on Two-stage ($500K coming soon). The market is **Crypto + TradFi** (crypto, indices, metals, energy; trades 24/7) or **US Stocks** (new). Pick what fits your experience and budget.

## Which type should I choose

Both types use **1:5** leverage and have no time limit. The **One-stage Challenge** reaches funding faster (a single evaluation stage) but asks for a higher **10%** target within tighter **3%** daily / **6%** overall loss limits. The **Two-stage Challenge** spreads lower targets (**5%** then **6%**) across two stages with wider **5%** daily / up to **10%** overall limits. Within a type, the percentages are the same on every size, so pick the account you're comfortable managing within its loss limits. A larger account scales targets and limits in dollars but keeps the same percentages. New to Hash Hedge? A smaller plan is a low-cost way to learn the platform. The Two-stage Challenge also comes with a one-time cash reward for clearing Stage 1; the One-stage Challenge does not, see [Stage 1 Reward](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/stage1-reward).

Next: [How to buy a Challenge](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/buy-challenge).

The rules, stages and loss limits are the same for every type. See [Rules, Stages and Loss Limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules).

# How to buy a Challenge

Everything happens on one page: pick your market, account type, size and options, then pay in USDT or USDC.

It takes a couple of minutes: the account is instant and there's no KYC.

***

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open New Challenge

In the left-hand menu, click **New Challenge**. The whole configurator is a single page, and the **Your order** panel on the right updates live as you choose.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose your market and account type

* **Market**: **Crypto + TradFi** (BTC, ETH, NASDAQ, S\&P, metals, oil and gas; trades 24/7) or **US Stocks** (new): 11000+ NYSE and NASDAQ stocks. The market also decides which terminal you'll trade in, and which sizes and types are available: see [Trading US Stocks](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/stocks-terminal).
* **Account type**: **Two-stage** (Standard), **One-stage** (faster to funded), or **Instant** (no evaluation, trade right away, coming soon). The table shows the profit target and loss limits for each stage. See [Challenge types](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/challenge-types) for the full breakdown.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4f16c768c1019c832069427db079cb67a0f3fd5b%2Fbuy-market.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Choosing the market</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose your account size and options

Pick an **account size**, from **$5K to $100K**, or up to **$200K** on Two-stage. On the **US Stocks** market the largest account is **$100K**. Each card shows the fee and the value per $1,000; **$10K** is the most popular and **$100K** is the traders' choice. **$500K** is coming soon.

Then choose your **options**:

* **+10% to profit share**: raises your profit share by 10% at the **Trader** stage, where you trade a funded account.
* **Daily Loss Protection**: a one-time safety net for your daily loss limit: it refreshes the limit once instead of ending the Challenge. See [Rules, stages and loss limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules).
* **No options**: no add-ons: 80% profit split and the standard limits.

You can take both add-ons, one of them, or neither.

Option prices scale with your account size.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-35d3c0ea6696641c9a761e373271e07cbadf6ae6%2Fbuy-options.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Options at checkout</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Review your order and pay

The **Your order** panel sums up your choices (account size, type, profit split and the **Total**) and shows the **average payout** for that account. Have a promo code? Click **Have a promo code?**, enter it and apply. A code must be added **before** you pay. Got HH Coins? See [Cashback Balance (HH Coins)](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/cashback-balance). When you're ready, click **Proceed to payment**. Payment is in **USDT or USDC**, the account is **instant**, and there's **no KYC**.

<details>

<summary>If a code doesn't work</summary>

Check that you typed it correctly and that it hasn't expired. A promo code must be applied **before** you pay; it can't be added to an order you've already paid for.

</details>

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-5d27cf0006e6bc33dad2df9f5851e667397e980e%2Fbuy-your-order.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Your order panel at checkout</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Pay in USDT or USDC

Hash Hedge accepts **USDT or USDC**: no cards or bank transfers.

Choose the currency and the network your wallet uses:

* ERC-20
* TRC-20
* BEP-20
* Arbitrum
* Optimism
* Solana

{% hint style="warning" %}
Pick the currency and the network your wallet supports, and always send funds on the **same network** you select on the payment screen. Sending on a different network can result in lost funds.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-9f88fabcc4ae92d7fce042070e7ab80cfe795c13%2Fpayment-choose-asset.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Choosing USDT or USDC</p></figcaption></figure>

You'll see the amount, a deposit address and a QR code. Send the **exact** amount on the network you chose.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a8791f39c4fb5a525b935339a20b7a5cf7f304cf%2Fpayment-network-address.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The network and the deposit address</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
You have **30 minutes** to complete the transfer. The page checks for your payment automatically and updates once it's received. USDT and USDC are stablecoins pegged to the US dollar (1 USDT ≈ 1 USDC ≈ 1 USD), so the price stays predictable.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## After payment

Your order appears in Orders and their statuses, and once the payment is confirmed a new account shows up in Your accounts and stages. If a payment window expires, just start the order again from **Orders**. You're ready to start trading the Challenge.

# Additional options at checkout

When you buy a Challenge you are offered two additional options. **+10% Profit Split** raises your profit share on the Trader stage, and **Daily Loss Protection** gives your daily loss limit a one-time safety net. Both cost extra, both are optional, and are added at checkout.

***

## +10% Profit Split

By default, a **Trader** keeps **80%** of the profit. Turn on **+10% profit split** at checkout and that share rises by 10 percentage points, so you keep **90%** of the profit once you reach the Trader stage.

It changes your share on the **Trader** stage only, not the Challenge rules and not the loss limits.

## Daily Loss Protection

Reaching the **daily loss limit** normally ends a Challenge. Daily Loss Protection is a one-time safety net: instead of failing, the system closes your open positions, cancels your open orders and refreshes your daily loss limit, so the Challenge carries on.

* It works **once**.
* It works on **every stage**, including **Trader**.
* It does not cover the **total loss limit**. When that is reached, the Challenge is permanently failed.

## How to add them

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
On the checkout screen, find the **options** block, below the account size.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Tick **+10% profit split**, **Daily Loss Protection**, or both. **No options** means neither of them: an 80% profit share and the standard limits.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Complete payment as usual. Option prices scale with your account size. You can also pay for them with HH Coins, see [Cashback Balance (HH Coins)](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/cashback-balance).
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-35d3c0ea6696641c9a761e373271e07cbadf6ae6%2Fbuy-options.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Options at checkout</p></figcaption></figure>

***

Each option applies only to the Challenge you buy it on. A Challenge can be passed without them: the default is an 80% profit share and the standard limits.

# Cashback Balance (HH Coins)

For purchases, or as part of a promotion, Hash Hedge credits your account with Cashback, called **HH Coins** in the app.

## What it is

* A promotional balance, not money. It has no cash value, and can't be withdrawn or exchanged for money or crypto.
* How much you get and how you can use it are set case by case and shown to you on the platform when it's credited: there's no fixed rate.

## How you earn it

* HH Coins are credited only on the part of a purchase paid in USDT or USDC. If you use HH Coins toward an order, that part doesn't earn new HH Coins.

## How to spend it

* On a new Challenge purchase.
* On add-ons (**+10% Profit Split**, **Daily Loss Protection**), if bought in the same order as the Challenge. An add-on can't be bought with HH Coins separately once the Challenge is already paid for.

## Refunds

A refund is possible if Hash Hedge cancels a Challenge before it starts, or you're charged twice by mistake. In either case, everything is refunded, including any HH Coins spent.

# Rules, Stages and Loss Limits

Every Challenge follows the same rules.

Pass the profit targets, stay inside the loss limits, and trade fairly.

***

## The two stages

A Challenge has **Stage 1** and **Stage 2**. In each one you reach a profit target while staying within the loss limits. After Stage 2 you move to the **Trader** (funded) stage, and what changes there is on [Becoming a Trader](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/becoming-a-trader). There is no time limit on any stage.

## Targets and limits by stage

These are the rules of the **Two-stage Challenge**. The **One-stage Challenge** has a single stage with a higher target and tighter limits, see [Challenge types](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/challenge-types).

| Rule                 | Stage 1   | Stage 2   | Trader                      |
| -------------------- | --------- | --------- | --------------------------- |
| Profit target        | 5%        | 6%        | none                        |
| Daily loss           | 5%        | 5%        | 5%                          |
| Total loss           | 10%       | 8%        | 8%                          |
| Minimum trading days | 5         | 5         | none                        |
| Trading period       | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited                   |
| Max leverage         | 1:5       | 1:5       | 1:5                         |
| Profit share         | none      | none      | 80% (90% with Profit Split) |

All percentages are measured against your account size. For example, on a **$25,000** account the Stage 1 target is **$1,250** (5%), the daily loss limit is **$1,250** (5%), and the max. total loss is **$2,500** (10%). Leverage is capped at **1:5** and there is no time limit.

## Minimum trading days

Each stage of the **Two-stage Challenge** requires a **minimum of 5 trading days**; the **One-stage Challenge** requires **3**. A trading day is a separate day on which you opened at least one position. It's a minimum, not a maximum: with no time limit, you can take as many days as you need, and a day with no opened position simply doesn't count.

## Loss limits

The limits below are for the **Two-stage Challenge**; the **One-stage Challenge** uses **3%** daily and **6%** total. See [Challenge types](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/challenge-types).

Two limits apply on every account:

* **Daily loss limit**: the loss level for a single trading day that, once reached, ends the Challenge. It is not an amount you are free to lose, but the threshold that fails the account.
* **Total loss limit**: the overall account loss level that, once reached, ends the Challenge.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you breach the **total loss limit**, open positions are closed automatically and the Challenge is permanently failed. The **daily loss limit** ends a Challenge the same way, unless you use Daily Loss Protection, see below.
{% endhint %}

How the daily loss is calculated, and what Balance and Equity mean, is on [How the daily loss limit is calculated](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/daily-loss-calculation). See [The Challenge dashboard explained](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/trader-dashboard) for the equity level at which the Challenge would fail.

## If you hit the daily loss limit

Reaching the daily loss limit ends a Challenge, unless you bought **Daily Loss Protection** at checkout. It closes all open positions, cancels your open orders and refreshes your daily loss limit, so you can carry on with the Challenge.

It works **once**, and is added at checkout. It works on **every stage**, including **Trader**.

It does not cover the **total** loss limit: when that is reached, the Challenge is permanently failed.

## Trading rules

* **Crypto futures or US stocks**, depending on the market you bought. Spot crypto trading is not available. See [Trading US Stocks](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/stocks-terminal).
* **Leverage** up to **1:5**. Every instrument has its own maximum position size, see [Instruments and position limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/coins-limit).
* A **trading day** is any day on which you opened at least one position.
* **Stop Loss is not required**, but you must stay within the limits. If a limit is hit, positions are force-closed. With Daily Loss Protection, you can keep trading after a daily limit hit.
* You can run **multiple Challenges at once** up to the **Trader** stage. On the **Trader** stage you can trade only one Challenge of each denomination (account size). For example, a One-stage $100,000 and a Two-stage $100,000 count as the same denomination, so you can trade only one of them. A passed Challenge that has to wait gets the **Trader Transition** status, see [Your accounts and stages](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/accounts-stages). Denominations are counted per market: a $100,000 US Stocks Challenge and a $100,000 Crypto + TradFi Challenge are different denominations, so both can trade at the Trader stage.

## What's not allowed

* Arbitrage, manipulation, and other forms of unfair trading.

Aside from the above, any trading strategy is allowed on both the Challenge and the funded account.

# How the daily loss limit is calculated

Your **daily loss limit** is the most you can lose in a single trading day.

Breach it and the Challenge ends. Here's exactly how it's measured, with worked examples.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Daily Loss Protection** changes this: it refreshes the daily limit once instead of failing the Challenge. See [Rules, stages and loss limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules).
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-36757dd7d997808baf213c86cadd02cf6e0bf51f%2Fdaily-loss-limit.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>How the daily loss limit works</p></figcaption></figure>

\*\*\*

## The formula

**Daily loss = current Equity − Balance at the start of the day**

Balance at the start of the day is your balance including all closed positions as of the start of the day.

**Equity = Balance + floating (unrealized) P\&L**

* **Balance**: your account value from **closed** positions only. It changes only when you close a position, when a trading fee is charged, or when a funding fee is applied. Open positions are **not** included in Balance.
* **Equity**: your **live** account value, including open positions. It updates in real time.

The daily loss limit updates every day at **00:00–00:13 UTC+4** on a Crypto + TradFi account, and at **08:00–08:10 UTC+4** on a US Stocks account. At that moment your start-of-day Balance is locked in for the day. See [Trading US Stocks](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/stocks-terminal).

{% hint style="info" %}
Your dashboard always shows the exact equity level at which the Challenge would fail, so you can see how much room you have left at a glance. Please note: the statistics are not updated in real time, but refresh periodically. The time of the latest refresh is shown in the "Last Update" field in the dashboard panel.
{% endhint %}

## Your daily loss limit by Challenge

The limit is a **fixed 5% of your Challenge's starting balance**. It never changes, not even if your current balance is higher or lower than where you started.

| Challenge | Starting balance | Daily loss limit |
| --------- | ---------------- | ---------------- |
| Starter   | $5,000           | $250             |
| Boost     | $10,000          | $500             |
| Pro       | $25,000          | $1,250           |
| Elite     | $50,000          | $2,500           |
| Legend    | $100,000         | $5,000           |
| Titan     | $150,000         | $7,500           |
| APEX      | $200,000         | $10,000          |

{% hint style="info" %}
**Common misconception:** the limit is **not** 5% of your *current* balance. On a Boost account it's always **$500**, even if your balance has grown to $10,700.
{% endhint %}

## Good to know

* **Fees count toward your daily loss** (they aren't shown in a position's P\&L). **Funding** is charged at a set time and moves your Balance suddenly, which immediately affects your daily loss.
* **Closing a losing position doesn't change your Equity**: the loss was already there as unrealized P\&L. Only the closing fee moves Equity.
* **Open positions carry into the next day.** At the daily update their floating P\&L is already part of your Equity, so a new day can start with part of the limit already used.
* **Tip:** closing a position before the daily update banks its result into your Balance for the new day; carrying it open keeps its P\&L in Equity instead.
* Breach the limit and the **Challenge fails automatically**.

## Examples

All examples use **Boost** ($10,000 starting balance, $500 limit). The logic is identical for every Challenge: only the starting balance and limit change (see the table above). Your **equity floor** = start-of-day balance − limit.

One position is −$400 and another is +$200, so the **net** is −$200 and your daily loss is −$208 (with fees), well within the $500 limit.

Yesterday a position is open at −$300 at the daily update. The new day's Balance is still $10,000 (open positions aren't in Balance), but Equity is $9,700, so the day **starts at −$300**, leaving only $200 of room.

<summary>5. A winning position carried into the next day</summary>

A position carried at +$300 means the new day starts at Equity $10,300, a daily loss of **+$300** (you're in profit), so you begin with full room. The floor is still $9,500, though, so a hard reversal can still fail the account.

# Instruments and position limits

Every instrument has a maximum position size.

This keeps risk in check across the more than 170 instruments available to trade.

***

## How the limits work

On a **US Stocks** account the limit is a single number: up to **10,000 shares** of one ticker, whatever the ticker, within one Challenge. The tables below are for the **Crypto + TradFi** market.

{% hint style="info" %}
Position limits apply to the **overall position size, including the leverage** used to open it.
{% endhint %}

Every instrument has two figures:

* **Max position limit for one lot**: the most you can open in a single position.
* **Max position limit**: the most you can hold on that instrument in total.

Next: [Liquidation and Margin](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/liquidation).

# Liquidation and Margin

Liquidation is the most important risk to understand when trading with leverage.

This explains what it is and how to avoid it.

***

## What liquidation is

When you open a leveraged position, part of your balance is set aside as **margin** to back it. If the market moves against you, your losses eat into that margin. When the margin can no longer cover the position (it falls below the **maintenance margin** the platform requires), the position is **liquidated**: closed automatically at a loss.

## Est. Liq. Price

The terminal shows an **Est. Liq. Price** (estimated liquidation price) for each position. If the Mark Price reaches that level, the position is liquidated. The **Margin Ratio** column tells you how close you are: the higher it climbs, the closer the liquidation.

Liq. Price and Margin Ratio in the positions panel</p></figcaption></figure>

## How leverage and margin mode affect it

* **Higher leverage → closer liquidation.** With a small margin behind a large position, a smaller price move wipes it out. Lower leverage moves the liquidation price further away.
* **Isolated margin**: only that position's margin is at risk, and it has its own liquidation price. One bad trade can't drain the rest of your account.
* **Cross margin**: your whole account balance backs the position, so the liquidation price is further away, but a liquidation can affect everything.

## How to avoid it

* Use **modest leverage**: just because 5x is available doesn't mean you should max it.
* Always set a **Stop Loss** at a price *before* your Est. Liq. Price, so you exit on your terms, not the system's.
* Don't commit 100% of your margin to one position.
* Watch the **Margin Ratio** and **Est. Liq. Price** while a trade is open.

***

{% hint style="warning" %}
For a funded or Challenge account, a liquidation is a large, sudden loss that can breach your **daily or total loss limit** and fail the account. Avoiding liquidation is part of staying within the rules. See [Risk management](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/risk-management) and [Rules, stages and loss limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules).
{% endhint %}

# Risk Management: Protecting Your Challenge

You pass a Challenge by reaching the profit target **without** breaching your loss limits. Big wins do not help if one of them takes you past a limit.

Risk management is what keeps you in the game.

{% hint style="warning" %}
There's no time limit, so a flat day is always better than a breached account.
{% endhint %}

## Know your numbers

Open your account dashboard and note two figures: your **daily loss limit** and your **total loss limit** in dollars. Every trade you take should be small compared to them. If you don't know the most you can lose today, you're trading blind.

## Risk a little per trade

Decide in advance how much you're willing to lose on a single trade, and keep it to a **small fraction of your daily loss limit**. Your daily loss limit depends on the challenge type: **5%** of your account size on the Two-stage Challenge, **3%** on the One-stage Challenge (see [Challenge types](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/challenge-types)). On a Two-stage $25,000 account that is **$1,250**. Risking around $125 per trade leaves room for several trades before you're anywhere near it.

## Always use a Stop Loss

Set a **Stop Loss** on every position so a losing trade closes at a planned amount, not an open-ended one. Place it *before* your liquidation price. See [Liquidation and margin](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/liquidation). Stop Loss isn't mandatory on Hash Hedge, but trading without one is how accounts get breached.

## Keep leverage modest

Higher leverage means a closer liquidation price and faster losses. You can trade up to 1:5, but you don't have to use the maximum. Lower leverage gives your trades room to breathe.

## Watch the daily loss in real time

Your daily loss is **current Equity − Balance at the start of the day**, and **open positions count** toward it. Check it as you trade: don't let an open position quietly push you toward the limit. The limit updates at 00:00–00:13 UTC+4 on a Crypto + TradFi account, and at 08:00–08:10 UTC+4 on a US Stocks one. See [How the daily loss limit is calculated](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/daily-loss-calculation).

## Stop before you're forced to

{% hint style="danger" %}
If you're having a bad day, step away well before the daily limit, not at it. Revenge-trading to "win it back" is the fastest way to fail a Challenge.
{% endhint %}

# Becoming a Trader

When you pass the Challenge, your account reaches the **Trader** stage and becomes **funded**: you trade with the company's capital and keep a share of the profit.

{% hint style="success" %}
After you clear the evaluation, your account moves to the **Trader** stage **straight away**, with no waiting and nothing to apply for. On the **Accounts** page its badge changes to **Trader**.
{% endhint %}

## What changes and what stays the same

{% columns %}
{% column %}

### What changes

* You now trade the **company's capital**, not your own.
* You keep **80%** of the profit you make (or **90%** with Profit Split).
* You can request **payouts** of your profit (see [Profit share and payouts](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/profit-payouts)).
  {% endcolumn %}

{% column %}

### What stays the same

* The **daily** and **total loss limits** still apply. Breaching them still fails the account, unless you have **Daily Loss Protection**: it covers the daily limit once and works on every stage, including Trader.
* **Leverage** is still up to **1:5**, and you still trade **futures**.
  {% endcolumn %}
  {% endcolumns %}

On the funded account, any trading strategy is allowed, apart from arbitrage and manipulation.

# A Tour of the Trading Terminal

The first time you open the **Trade** screen there's a lot on it.

Here's what each part does, so you know where to look.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-8d3cbdec9bc8b3511fcdbbea30f284780ae51c8f%2Fterminal-overview.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Hash Hedge trading terminal</p></figcaption></figure>

***

## The chart

The large area on the left is the price chart for the selected pair. Use the timeframe and drawing tools to analyse the market. Above it you'll see the pair name (e.g. BTC/USDT Perpetual) and the current price.

## The order book

The column of red and green numbers is the **order book**: live sell orders (red) and buy orders (green) waiting at each price. The number in the middle is the latest price.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a1b96e3346ba6aad17ce4dc1339f2c3cec406727%2Fterminal-order-book.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The order book and Last Trades</p></figcaption></figure>

## The order form

On the right is where you place trades:

* At the top: your [margin mode](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/margin-mode) (Isolated/Cross) and **leverage** buttons.
* The **Limit / Market / Trigger** tabs choose your order type.
* **Price** and **Amount** fields, plus a **0–100%** slider to size the order from your available balance.
* The **TP/SL** checkbox to attach exit orders.
* **Buy / Long** (green) and **Sell / Short** (red) buttons.
* Below: **Available / Used Margin** and your **Assets** (Total Balance, Account Balance, Unrealized PnL).

## The positions panel

Along the bottom are tabs: **Positions, Open Orders, Order History, Position History, Transaction Details, Transaction History**. Your open trades appear under **Positions** with columns for Unrealized PnL (ROE), Average Price, Mark Price, Est. Liq. Price, Margin Ratio, and your TP/SL, plus the buttons to close them.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-ad83536e25f13d958207a33fd633070e65c2732b%2Fterminal-positions-panel.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The positions panel at the bottom of the Trade screen</p></figcaption></figure>

Once you know the layout, get the concepts straight in [Long, Short, P\&L and Prices](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/trading-basics), then open your first position with [How to open a trade](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/open-a-trade).

# Long, Short, P\&L and Prices

A few core concepts that make the rest of the terminal make sense.

***

## Long vs Short

Futures let you profit in both directions:

* **Long (Buy)**: you profit when the price **goes up**.
* **Short (Sell)**: you profit when the price **goes down**.

So if you expect a drop, you can open a short and gain as the price falls.

## Unrealized vs Realized PnL

* **Unrealized PnL**: the profit or loss of your **open** positions at the current price. It moves in real time and isn't locked in yet.
* **Realized PnL**: the result **after** you close a position. This is what actually settles to your balance.

You'll also see **ROE%** next to PnL. That's your return measured against the **margin** you put into the trade, so with leverage, a small price move is a larger ROE%.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a22e17e299b8daf4bfb991d5f25e6e65f8b5666c%2Fterminal-position-row.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>An open position: Unrealized PnL(ROE), Est.Liq.Price and Margin Ratio</p></figcaption></figure>

## Mark Price vs Last Price

* **Last Price**: the price of the most recent trade on the market.
* **Mark Price**: a smoothed "fair" price the platform uses for **Unrealized PnL and liquidation**, designed to ignore short, manipulative wicks.

The two can briefly diverge. This matters because your **liquidation** and P\&L are based on the **Mark Price**, not the Last Price, and because a TP/SL trigger can be set against either one (see [Take profit and stop loss](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/take-profit-stop-loss)).

# How to Open a Trade

Once your account is active, you trade crypto futures from the **Trade** screen. This page is about the Crypto + TradFi terminal; if you bought a US Stocks Challenge, see [Trading US Stocks](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/stocks-terminal).

Here's the full flow for opening a position.

***

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the trading terminal

On the **Accounts** page, click **Trade** on the account you want to use. This opens the trading terminal for that account.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-dc2d66abba4375a52376c3dbb9333e97af01b74c%2Faccounts-trade-button.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Trade button on an account card</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose a trading pair

Select the instrument you want to trade (for example, BTC/USDT). Each instrument has its own position limit. See [Coins and position limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/coins-limit).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set your margin mode and leverage

On the right side of the screen:

* Pick **Isolated** or **Cross** margin. See [Margin mode](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/margin-mode).
* Set your **leverage** (1x to 5x). See [Adjusting leverage](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/leverage).
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose an order type

The panel has three tabs, and the one you pick decides how the order enters. For the full detail, see [Order types](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/order-types).

* **Market**: fills immediately at the best available price.
* **Limit**: fills only at your chosen price or better, and waits until the market reaches it.
* **Trigger**: sits idle until the price you set is touched, and only then sends the order.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-99061d0b04be30c71d4728daf7194ffec4a91683%2Fterminal-order-panel.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Limit, Market and Trigger tabs in the order panel</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Enter the size (and price)

Enter the amount you want to trade. For a Limit order, also enter the price you want. Your total position size is **margin × leverage**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add Take Profit / Stop Loss (optional)

Activate the **TP/SL** button to set automatic exit prices before you open. See [Take profit and stop loss](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/take-profit-stop-loss).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Open the position

Click **Buy / Long** or **Sell / Short**. Your new position appears in the **Positions** tab at the bottom of the screen.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-e13ba92d2ccc8eda3b03f653112fea52875ec39a%2Fterminal-buy-sell.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Buy / Long and Sell / Short</p></figcaption></figure>

***

Only futures trading is available, with leverage up to **1:5**. Remember that open positions count toward your Equity, so they affect your loss limits before you close them.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

# Margin mode: Isolated and Cross

Hash Hedge offers two margin modes.

Pick the one that matches how you want to manage risk.

***

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Isolated margin" %}
Each position has its **own separate margin**. The risk of a trade is confined to the margin assigned to that position, which limits how much a single trade can lose.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Cross margin" %}
Margin is **shared across all open positions** in your account. This can help prevent liquidation when one position is losing, but it also means all positions are exposed if your overall margin level drops too low.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

## At a glance

| What changes   | Isolated                      | Cross                                   |
| -------------- | ----------------------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| Margin | Separate per position | Shared across all positions |
| A losing trade | Can lose only its own margin | Can draw on your whole balance |
| Liquidation | Per position | Based on total account margin |
| Best for | Capping the loss on one trade | Avoiding liquidation with spare balance |

## How to switch

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Go to the **Trade** screen.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
On the right side, click the margin button (it shows your current mode, e.g. **Isolated**).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Choose **Isolated** or **Cross**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Click **Ok**.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

***

## Rules to know

* **You can't use both modes at once.** If a position is open in one mode, new orders can't be opened in the other. To switch modes, first **close all positions and cancel all pending orders**.
* **In Cross margin**, the P\&L of long and short positions is netted, which affects your overall liquidation price.
* **In Isolated margin**, each position has its own P\&L and its own liquidation conditions.

# Adjusting leverage

Leverage lets you control a larger position with a smaller amount of capital.

It magnifies both gains and losses.

***

## How leverage works

Leverage borrows funds from the platform, using your own capital as collateral, so you can open a bigger position than your margin alone would allow.

**Total position size = Margin × Leverage**

On Hash Hedge, leverage can be set from **1x to 5x** on all available trading pairs.

## How to adjust it

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Go to the **Trade** screen.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
On the right side, click the leverage button (it shows your current setting, e.g. **Leverage 5X**).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Choose a level from **1x to 5x**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Click **Confirm**.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

***

{% hint style="warning" %}
For the same margin, higher leverage increases both your position size and your risk. Keep your loss limits in mind when choosing a level.
{% endhint %}

# Order types: Market, Limit and Trigger

Hash Hedge supports three ways to enter or exit a trade.

Pick the one that fits your strategy.

***

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Market order" %}
Executes **immediately** at the best available market price.

* Always a **taker** order, because it removes liquidity from the market.
* Cannot be canceled once placed, and may fill at several price levels.
* There's no guarantee of the exact price you saw: in volatile conditions the fill can differ.

Use it when getting filled quickly matters more than the exact price.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Limit order" %}
Executes at the price you set **or better**.

* For a buy, the limit price is the most you'll pay; for a sell, you get your price or higher.
* Gives you price control, but there's no guarantee it fills if the market never reaches your price.

Use it when the entry price matters more than speed.

{% hint style="info" %}
Contracts reserved by a pending limit order can't be used by a Stop Loss or Take Profit until that order fills or is cancelled. See [Take profit and stop loss](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/take-profit-stop-loss).
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-1950598bf4e4638a4da304a8ceadfba1e680101f%2Fterminal-order-limit.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Limit tab on the order panel</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Trigger (Stop-Limit) order" %}
Activates only after the market reaches a **trigger price** you set. Once triggered, it becomes a market or limit order and executes according to current conditions.

* A stop-limit needs both a **trigger price** and a **limit price**.
* It fills only if the limit price (or better) is available when triggered.

Use it to enter or exit automatically when the market hits a level.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-0c0b488443e8eb57414fa97c495a38277cc01349%2Fterminal-order-trigger.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Trigger tab on the order panel</p></figcaption></figure>

***

{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

## How to switch order type

On the right side of the **Trade** screen, use the **Limit**, **Market** and **Trigger** tabs to choose your order type before placing the trade.

# Take Profit and Stop Loss

Take Profit (TP) and Stop Loss (SL) close your position automatically at a price you choose, so you don't have to watch the market.

* **Take Profit (TP)**: closes the position when the market reaches your target price, locking in profit.
* **Stop Loss (SL)**: closes the position when the market moves against you to your chosen price, limiting your loss.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Important: limit orders lock your contracts.** A Stop Loss or Take Profit can only close contracts that are *free*. If those same contracts are reserved by an open **limit order** (including a manual limit order you placed to close the position), your SL/TP can trigger but **fail to execute**, because the contracts are already locked. Don't cover the same position with both a limit order and an SL/TP at once.
{% endhint %}

***

## Set TP/SL when opening a position

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
On the **Trade** screen, set up your order as usual.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Tick the **TP/SL** checkbox.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Enter your **Take Profit** and/or **Stop Loss** price.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Open the position with **Buy / Long** or **Sell / Short**, and the TP/SL is attached.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-c064e1957a427457475c985bc387048353c7cb88%2Fterminal-tpsl-checkbox.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The TP/SL checkbox in the order panel</p></figcaption></figure>

## Set or change TP/SL on an open position

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Go to the **Positions** tab at the bottom of the screen.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
In the **TP/SL** or **Position TP/SL** column, click the **edit (pencil)** icon on your position.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Enter or change your prices and confirm.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

If you don't see the input line, hold **Shift** and scroll the mouse wheel to bring it into view.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-048de0648c5c3e2c2775a50cf1bf70815acc51dc%2Ftpsl-pos.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The TP/SL and Position TP/SL columns in the Positions tab</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
Percentage-based TP/SL values are calculated from the **current market price**, not from your entry price.
{% endhint %}

## Cancel or remove a TP/SL

Open the TP/SL dialog for the position and click **Clear** next to the Take Profit or Stop Loss you want to remove, then confirm. The position stays open without that exit order. You can also overwrite a level by entering a new price and confirming.

## One TP/SL vs several (Position vs Partial)

The terminal has two modes:

{% columns %}
{% column %}

* **Position TP/SL**: applies to the **entire** position (100%) and adjusts automatically if the position size changes. You can have **one** TP and **one** SL.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-38a57ccb6e8519ed777577f5059290a5f87bbf1e%2Fterminal-tpsl-entire.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Entire Position tab</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}

* **Partial TP/SL**: applies to a **chosen part** of the position. Use it to set **several** TP or SL levels at different prices (for example, take profit on 50% at one price and the rest at another).

**To add multiple TP/SL levels:** open the **Partial Position** tab, set the price and the size (%) for the first level and confirm, then repeat for the next level. Each new partial order can only use the portion **not already reserved** by a previous TP/SL or limit order.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-8a858df37e901dcf576f6b7d8aa6cd601f45592b%2Fterminal-tpsl-partial.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Partial Position tab</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

## Limit Stop Loss: Trigger Price vs Order Price

A Limit Stop Loss uses two values:

* **Trigger Price**: the price that activates the order.
* **Order Price**: the price at which the closing limit order is then placed.

Leave a **small gap** between them (for example, Trigger Price 9900, Order Price 9890). If they're identical, the order may not execute when the price moves sharply through the level without retracing. Once the trigger is hit, the system places a **limit order**, and if the price doesn't return to the Order Price, it won't fill and the position stays open. (A Market Stop Loss avoids this by closing at the market price instead.)

## Trigger by Last Price or Mark Price

When your trigger is based on the **Last Price**, watch the **Last Price** chart. When it's based on the **Mark Price**, watch the **Mark Price** chart. Using the wrong chart can make orders execute differently than you expect, because the two prices can diverge.

## Trailing Stop

A trailing stop follows the market as it moves in your favor. Instead of a fixed price, you set a **variance (%)**: how far the price can move against you before it closes.

* As the market keeps moving in your favor, the stop follows it, locking in profit.
* If the market reverses by your set variance, the order triggers and closes as a market order.
* You can set an optional **activation price**: the trailing stop only starts tracking once that price is reached.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4c0893902875c946d2e26dd30c51a49db0ae9c42%2Fterminal-tpsl-trailing.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Trailing Stop tab</p></figcaption></figure>

***

A Take Profit or a Stop Loss closes the position for you when the price gets there. To close it yourself, at any moment, see [Closing a position](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/close-position).

On the mobile version of the terminal, Take Profit / Stop Loss is always set at the **Mark Price**.

# Closing a position

You manage and close your open positions from the bottom of the **Trade** screen.

***

## Where to find your positions

In the lower section of the **Trade** screen you'll see your open positions and orders. On the far right of each one, there are three buttons.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-96a052c6666a6de926cab075195993ddc237141c%2Fclose-dialog.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Open positions at the bottom of the Trade screen</p></figcaption></figure>

## The three buttons

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Reverse" %}
Flips your position to the opposite direction using a market order. For example, a long position becomes a short.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Close" %}
Closes a position. First choose the closure type (**Market Price** for an instant close, or **Limit Price** to set a price) and the amount you want to close in the area above the button.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Close All" %}
Closes every open position at once, in a single action.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-2244f0402df6b880393eef8954e2aaa86d288ecb%2Fterminal-close-buttons.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Close all, Close and Reverse on an open position</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
A **Limit Price** close places a limit order that reserves your contracts: while it's pending, a Stop Loss or Take Profit on the same position can't use those contracts. See [Take profit and stop loss](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/take-profit-stop-loss).
{% endhint %}

## Profit, loss and fees

In the **Position History** tab, the PnL is shown **without fees**. You can see the opening and closing fees for a position on the right side of the same tab.

***

Remember that trading fees apply both when you open and when you close a position. See [Fees and funding rate](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/fees-funding) for the details.

# Fees and funding rate

Two kinds of cost apply when you trade: trading fees and the funding fee.

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>0.01%</strong></td><td>Maker</td></tr><tr><td><strong>0.03%</strong></td><td>Taker</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Variable</strong></td><td>Funding rate</td></tr></tbody></table>

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-6e896eb1b0bf5a980958f33d945f505a56f9043d%2Fterminal-funding-rate.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The funding rate and the countdown to the next payment, in the terminal header</p></figcaption></figure>

***

## Trading fees (maker and taker)

Trading fees are charged on the **total position size, including leverage**, both when you open and when you close a position.

| Fee       | Rate  | Charged on                                                              |
| --------- | ----- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Maker** | 0.01% | Orders that add liquidity, such as a limit order waiting to be filled |
| **Taker** | 0.03% | Orders that remove liquidity, such as a market order that fills at once |

**Example.** You open a $10,000 position with 1:5 leverage, so the total size is $50,000.

* Maker fee: $50,000 × 0.01% = **$5**
* Taker fee: $50,000 × 0.03% = **$15**

## Funding fee (funding rate)

{% hint style="info" %}
The funding fee is a periodic payment that keeps the futures price in line with the spot market price. It's exchanged **between traders**, not paid to the platform.
{% endhint %}

The rate is variable and depends on market sentiment:

* If more traders are **long**, the rate is **positive**: longs pay shorts.
* If more traders are **short**, the rate is **negative**: shorts pay longs.

***

The funding fee affects your **Balance** when it's accrued or deducted. Keep it in mind when holding positions over time.

# Trading US Stocks

A **US Stocks** Challenge trades on a different platform from a Crypto + TradFi one: a stock terminal with its own screen, its own order form, and a market that opens and closes.

The Challenge itself does not change: the same profit targets, the same loss limits, the same minimum trading days, the same payouts.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-29207e39e0bc6096145cd92b9e1c1170f6162759%2Fstocks-terminal-full.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The stock terminal, a separate platform from the crypto one</p></figcaption></figure>

***

## Which terminal you get

The **Market** you choose when you buy the Challenge decides it:

|                     |                                                                                                                   |
| ------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Crypto + TradFi** | the crypto futures terminal that the rest of this section describes. Trades 24/7. |
| **US Stocks** | the stock terminal: more than 11,000 tickers from NYSE and NASDAQ, on weekdays only, while the US market is open. |

You open it with **Open terminal**, both on the account card and on the Challenge dashboard. On a Crypto + TradFi account those same two buttons read **Trade** and **Start trading**, and the difference is deliberate: crypto trades round the clock, so the button offers you a trade, while the stock terminal opens at any hour but accepts orders only while the market is open. It opens in a new tab at a separate address, in English. You can switch the language in the profile menu at the top right.

## The trading day

US stocks trade on weekdays, and the day has a start and an end. Three things happen in it:

|                       |                                                                                                                                                                                        |
| --------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **08:00–08:10 UTC+4** | the daily loss limit resets, and your start-of-day Balance is locked in for the day. See [How the daily loss limit is calculated](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/daily-loss-calculation). |
| **23:55 UTC+4**       | opening new positions is blocked.                                                                                                                                                      |
| **23:59 UTC+4**       | every open position is closed automatically.                                                                                                                                           |

{% hint style="warning" %}
**You cannot hold a stock position overnight**, over a weekend, or for several days: the platform closes everything at the end of the trading day, and each day starts flat.
{% endhint %}

The dashboard gives the market its own line: a **Market open** or **Market closed** badge, and a countdown to the moment that matters. While the market is open it reads `NYSE session closes in 3h 2m`, and while it is closed, how long until the next session opens. Under it sits the reminder that positions are closed automatically a minute before the session ends.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-91cf24d1e6fed8503bca592db192662ac4c86a7f%2Fstocks-session-banner.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The state of the market on the Challenge dashboard</p></figcaption></figure>

## What you can trade

More than 11,000 tickers from NYSE and NASDAQ: company shares, and a large number of ETFs and ETNs. Some of those funds are leveraged or inverse, and leverage stacks with the account's own.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4369060db723e0bf58da00ac84fa5a8fbfd7bb2b%2Fstocks-top-tickers.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The ticker lists at the top of the left-hand panel</p></figcaption></figure>

## Finding a ticker

Nobody reads eleven thousand tickers: you look for one. The **search** at the top of the left-hand panel covers every ticker on the market, by symbol or by company name. Next to it are the lists the terminal keeps for you:

|            |                                                                             |
| ---------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Top** | the terminal's own short list, with the price and the change over 24 hours. |
| **Topics** | tickers grouped by theme. |
| **Favs** | the ones you starred yourself. |

The **All** tab is the whole market.

## What's on the screen

* **Left**: the ticker lists: **All, Favs, Ideas, Top** and **Topics**, with starter cards showing the 30-day and 365-day change. The search at the top covers every ticker.
* **Middle**: the chart, and below it your **Positions, Open Orders, History** and **Executions**.
* **Right**: the order form, the **order book** and the **trades** tape.
* **Bottom left**: your balance, **Free for leveraged trading** and **Used in positions and orders**.
* **Top**: **Exchange** is this screen, **Portfolio** lists your positions, open orders and closed ones, and **History** holds a balance chart and a statement of every change.

## Buying power

On a stock account you do not choose leverage for each position. The account has one **buying power** instead: your balance times five.

With a balance of **$1,000** your buying power is **$5,000**, and you can put it into one company or spread it across several:

|          |                      |
| -------- | -------------------- |
| Apple    | $1,000               |
| Tesla    | $2,000               |
| Nvidia   | $2,000               |
| **Used** | **$5,000 of $5,000** |

You pick the number of shares, and the terminal keeps score: **Free for leveraged trading** is what is left, **Used in positions and orders** is what your open positions and pending orders already hold.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-3cff7015eeeb89320ff38504df963612a7bf1c9b%2Fstocks-buying-power.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Buying power on a $27,161 account: $100,650 free, $35,155 in use</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
**This is the difference from the crypto terminal.** There, leverage of 1:5 applies to a single position, and you set it per trade. Here, five times the balance is the ceiling for everything open on the account at once. A stock trader may hold a dozen companies, so one shared ceiling is easier to follow than a leverage setting on every ticker.
{% endhint %}

## Placing an order

The form has two columns, **Buy** and **Sell**, and three tabs:

|            |                                                                  |
| ---------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **LIMIT** | fills at your price or better. You set the amount and the price. |
| **MARKET** | fills immediately at the market price. |
| **STOP** | waits for your **Stop price**, then goes to the market. |

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-84def1f4bcb5e9cc0ed1a507318d4f41cbeb8aa8%2Fstocks-order-tabs.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The order form, with the Limit, Market and Stop tabs</p></figcaption></figure>

**Max** under each button is the largest amount your remaining buying power allows.

## Managing a position

* **Close Position Now** closes the whole position at the market price.
* For a **stop loss**, open the **STOP** tab and use **Sell**: the form already holds your whole position and a stop price below the market, so you only correct the number and confirm.
* There is no combined TP/SL panel here, unlike the crypto terminal. A take profit is a **Limit** sell, a stop loss is a **Stop** sell, and each is a separate order that appears under **Open Orders**.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-6c30a9e565f6ab2d732cfbff4e692f7e5175dcaf%2Fstocks-close-position.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Close Position Now, next to the size of your open position</p></figcaption></figure>

The gear above the form holds one setting, **Price Warnings**: ask for a second confirmation when the price you entered is not the best available. It is off by default.

## Your own Loss Limit

The terminal lets you set a **Loss Limit** of your own: a loss level at which it closes every position at the market price. Next to your balance you'll see the loss so far and the limit you set, with a bar between them.

It is your tool, not a Challenge rule. The **daily** and **total loss limits** of the Challenge apply exactly as they do on crypto, and a Loss Limit is a way to stop before they are reached. See [Rules, stages and loss limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules).

## Fees

**0.04%** of the trade, with a **minimum of $1.00**. On a small trade the minimum is what you pay: below roughly $2,500, the dollar is more than the percentage.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a13ba40231fecaf9828a7336e6c473e543cf8d13%2Fstocks-fee.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The fee card above the order form</p></figcaption></figure>

The fee is charged when the order fills, so a position shows a small **Real. PnL** from the start.

## What's the same, and what isn't

|                                                  |                                                                                                                                                                     |
| ------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Challenge type** | **Two-stage** only. The One-stage Challenge is not offered on US Stocks. See [Challenge types](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/challenge-types). |
| **Account sizes**                                | **$5,000 to $100,000**.                                                                                                                                             |
| **Targets, loss limits, trading days, leverage** | the same as a Crypto + TradFi Challenge of the same size. |
| **Daily Loss Protection** | works here too. See [Rules, stages and loss limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules). |
| **Payouts** | the same share, the same 14-day cycle, the same Wallet. See [Profit share and payouts](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/profit-payouts). |
| **Position size** | up to **10,000 shares** of one ticker, whatever the ticker, within one Challenge. |
| **Denominations** | counted per market. A $100,000 US Stocks Challenge and a $100,000 Crypto + TradFi Challenge are different denominations, so both can trade at the **Trader** stage. |

The rest of this section describes the Crypto + TradFi terminal. Start with [A tour of the trading terminal](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/terminal-tour).

## Opening an account

Click an account on the **Accounts** page (or **Trade** on its card) to open its **dashboard**, the control panel showing your balance, payouts, risk limits and stage targets. See [The Challenge dashboard explained](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/trader-dashboard).

New here? Start with [How to create an account](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/create-account), then [What is a Challenge](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/challenge-what-is).

# The Challenge Dashboard Explained

Open any account and you land on its dashboard, your control panel for that Challenge.

Here's every part of it, top to bottom.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-c41cae940d578273b0b34345ec02f117c2312bcc%2Fdashboard-tasks-risks.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Tasks and Risks on the Challenge dashboard</p></figcaption></figure>

***

## Top bar

* **Stage badge**: your current stage (Challenge Stage 1, Stage 2, Trader, Trader Transition, Failed).
* **Account name and size**: for example, Elite $50,000.
* **Last updated**: click the arrow to the right of the Challenge name to see when the dashboard last refreshed.

{% hint style="info" %}
The dashboard updates roughly every **10 minutes**: it is **not** real-time. Your figures can lag the market a little, so if a number looks behind, check the last-updated time (the arrow next to the Challenge name).
{% endhint %}

## Equity and Balance (the chart)

* **Balance**: your account after all **closed** positions and fees.
* **Equity**: your **current** account value, including open positions.

The gap between them is your unrealized profit or loss. The chart also marks the **Max. daily loss** and **Max. total loss** lines so you can see how close you are. Use the **1W / 1D / 1H** buttons to change the range.

{% hint style="info" %}
The dashboard always shows the exact equity level at which the Challenge would fail, so you can see how much room you have left at a glance.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-2a6b17437eb49cc7a45bf9c0f31c19d01b797e04%2Fdashboard-statistics.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Equity, Balance and the two loss limits on the Statistics chart</p></figcaption></figure>

## Payouts

On the **Trader** stage, where you trade a funded account, this block shows:

* **Days until payout** and the **payout date**.
* **Profit** earned in the current period.
* **Profit Share**: your percentage (**80%**, or **90%** with Profit Split).

When the period arrives and your positions are closed, click **Withdraw profit** to move your profit to your **Wallet**: that's the first step of a payout. See [Profit share and payouts](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/profit-payouts).

## Tasks

The two conditions you have to complete, each shown as progress toward its goal:

* **Earn**: the profit you have made against the profit target for the stage.
* **Trading days**: how many trading days you have made out of the **5** the stage requires (**3** in the One-stage Challenge). A trading day is any day on which you opened at least one position.

{% hint style="info" %}
Both tasks have to be complete. In the screenshot above `Earn` is already past its target, `$27,891` of `$16,000`, while `Trading days` shows `3/5`: the stage is not passed until the last two days are traded.
{% endhint %}

## Risks

* **Daily loss**: how much of today's daily loss limit you've used (e.g. $0 / $2,500).
* **Total loss**: how much of the overall loss limit you've used.

Keep both well clear of their limits. If either is reached, your positions are closed and the account fails.

## Stage targets

The table below is for the **Two-stage Challenge**; the **One-stage Challenge** asks for a **10%** target within **3%** daily and **6%** total. See [Challenge types](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/challenge-types).

The comparison table shows the requirements for each stage. The values are the same on every account size (only the dollar amounts scale):

|                  | Stage 1 | Stage 2 | Trader |
| ---------------- | ------- | ------- | ------ |
| Profit target    | 5%      | 6%      | none   |
| Daily loss       | 5%      | 5%      | 5%     |
| Total loss       | 10%     | 8%      | 8%     |
| Min trading days | 5       | 5       | none   |
| Max leverage     | 1:5     | 1:5     | 1:5    |

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-81af464e0e7ff931cca5d009f451d4b72f4c5545%2Fdashboard-stage-table.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Targets and limits for every stage</p></figcaption></figure>

***

Check the dashboard often to track your progress and stay within the limits. For what each stage badge means, see [Your accounts and stages](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/accounts-stages).

# Your Accounts and Stages

The **Accounts** page lists every account you have and the stage each one is at.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-5c2bf3a9c85d00c9a25f425a1d8de89c6c70888d%2Faccounts-stage-badge.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The stage badge on each account card</p></figcaption></figure>

## Account stages

Each account card shows a badge with its current stage:

|                         |                                                                                                    |
| ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Challenge · Stage 1** | you're on the first verification stage.                                                            |
| **Challenge · Stage 2** | you cleared Stage 1 and are on the second stage. |
| **Trader** | you passed the Challenge and now trade a funded account. |
| **Trader Transition** | the Challenge has passed, but a Challenge of the same denomination is already at the Trader stage. |
| **Failed** | a loss limit was breached, so the account is closed. |

Clearing Stage 1 on an eligible Challenge also unlocks a cash reward, see [Stage 1 Reward](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/stage1-reward).

Use the tabs at the top (**All, Trader, Challenge, Failed, Trader Transition**) to filter the list.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-8544b24660fa4d500b1e7c33701d0b67e432b8a5%2Faccounts-filters.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>The filters at the top of the Accounts page</p></figcaption></figure>

## What's on a card

* The plan name and account size (for example, Legend $100,000).
* The account **ID**, a unique identifier you can share with support.
* **Trade**: open the trading terminal for that account.
* **Details**: view the account's targets, limits, and statistics.

***

To see a funded account's payouts, profit, and risk limits, open it and check the dashboard. See [The trader dashboard explained](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/trader-dashboard).

Once an account reaches the Trader stage, it can keep growing: see [Scaling Plan](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/scaling-plan).

# Scaling Plan

If you keep showing results on a funded account, we grow your capital for free. Growth happens in cycles: clear a period's conditions, your account grows, and the next period starts right away on the new, larger balance.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Applies to Challenges sized $100K, $200K and $300K, bought between October 28 and October 29, 2026.
{% endhint %}

## How a period is counted

A period lasts 60 days. The countdown starts from the date of the first payout on your funded account. After each upgrade, the next period starts the same way: from the first payout on the upgraded account.

## Conditions for an upgrade

To qualify for an upgrade, you need to meet all three conditions within a single period:

* **Profit**: at least 8% of the account size at the start of the period, paid out to your internal wallet. The first payout, the one that started the countdown, counts too.
* **At least 2 payouts** during the period.
* **No drawdown**: your account balance at the time of the upgrade must not be lower than it was at the start of the period.

## What you get

Your account grows by +25% for every cycle you complete. The maximum size a single funded account can reach is $1,000,000.

## How to get the upgrade

Once the conditions are met, you'll get an email about an available upgrade. To claim it, contact support and confirm you want to move to the new account size. Once confirmed, the new balance is credited to your account.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If the account fails (a loss limit is breached), the Scaling Plan is lost together with the account: progress built up on it doesn't carry over to a new account.
{% endhint %}

# Orders and Their Statuses

The **Orders** page shows every Challenge you've started and where each one stands.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-5102004eb70753f91828d7ac3830760003423252%2Forders.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Orders page</p></figcaption></figure>

***

## What you'll see

Each order shows the plan, the price, the time it was created, and a status. There are two you will meet:

* **Awaiting payment**: the order is created and the payment window is still open. Click **Pay now** to finish the payment, or **View details** to see the full order.
* **Payment expired**: the window closed before the order was paid. The order stays in the list as a record, and **View details** is the only thing left on it: there is no button to pay it now. To buy that Challenge you create a new order.

Once payment is confirmed, the order is complete and your account becomes available in **Accounts**.

## Common actions

* **Pay now**: open the payment screen to pay an unpaid order.
* **View details**: see the full breakdown of the order.

***

<details>

<summary>If you closed the payment window or it expired</summary>

It depends on which of the two happened.

**You closed the window, but the time has not run out.** The order is still *Awaiting payment*, so click **Pay now** and finish it. You do not need a new order.

**The time ran out.** The order turns to *Payment expired* and cannot be paid: on the card and inside **View details** there is no payment button at all. Start a new Challenge order instead. Nothing is charged for the expired one.

</details>

# Your Profile and Security

Open **Profile** from the left-hand menu to manage your details and account security.

* **Personal data**: the first and last name shown on your profile. Click **Change** to edit it.
* **USER ID**: your unique number. Click **Copy** and include it whenever you contact support, so we can find your account right away.
* **Email**: used to log in, receive notifications, and restore access.

## Security

* **Login password**: click **Change** to set a new password. Use at least 8 characters with uppercase and lowercase letters, digits, and special characters.

***

{% hint style="warning" %}
Never share your password. When you contact support, send your **USER ID**, not your password.
{% endhint %}

# Profit Share and Payouts

On a funded account you keep most of the profit you make and can withdraw it on a regular schedule.

<table data-card-size="large" data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>80%</strong></td><td>of the profit you generate</td></tr><tr><td><strong>90%</strong></td><td>with the +10% Profit Split add-on</td></tr><tr><td><strong>$100</strong></td><td>Minimum withdrawal</td></tr><tr><td><strong>$10,000</strong></td><td>maximum withdrawal per account per 14 days</td></tr></tbody></table>

***

## Your profit share

You keep **80%** of the profit you generate on a funded account. With the **+10% Profit Split** add-on, that rises to **90%**. Hash Hedge keeps the rest. See [Challenge types](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/challenge-types).

## When you can take a payout

A payout becomes available once **all** of these are true:

* The **14-day** payout period has passed (your dashboard shows the **days until payout** and the **payout date**).
* Your account is **in profit**.
* **All your positions are closed.**

## How a payout works

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Move your profit to the Wallet

On the Challenge **dashboard**, click **Withdraw profit**. Your profit share moves from the trading account into your **Wallet**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Open your Wallet

Click **Wallet** in the left-hand menu. At the top you'll see your **balance** and the total withdrawn so far. Click **Withdraw**.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-89fa7747394b1e7d912f1091552debf1b5caa540%2Fwallet.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Wallet page</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Create the withdrawal request

* **USDT address**: the wallet address that will receive the funds.
* **Network**: choose your network.
* **Withdrawal amount**: enter an amount within the available balance (minimum $100, maximum $10,000).

Then click **Create withdrawal request**.

<figure><img src="https://4124520956-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F1rxibxWwlEbigdfKGWCp%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-2866e667d72db42ee4a6cf58b3c127010cdbdbbe%2Fwithdraw-form.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption><p>Withdraw funds form</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Track the request

Your request appears in **Withdrawal History** and moves through these statuses:

* **In progress**: the request has been received.
* **Approved**: the request has been approved for payout.
* **Completed**: the funds have been sent. You'll see the on-chain transaction hash.

{% hint style="info" %}
Funds are transferred to your wallet within **72 hours** of submitting your withdrawal request.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Payout limits

* **Minimum** withdrawal: **$100**.
* **Maximum** withdrawal: **$10,000** per account per 14 days.
* A new request can be made no earlier than **14 days** after your previous request was completed.
* Your balance must be enough to cover the requested amount.

Regular payouts from a funded account also count toward growing that account for free: see [Scaling Plan](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/scaling-plan).

***

Payouts are paid in USDT. Double-check the wallet address and network before submitting. Crypto transfers can't be reversed once sent.

# Stage 1 Reward

When you clear Stage 1 of a Challenge, you unlock a cash reward: 2% of the Stage 1 profit target. It's real money, credited straight to your Wallet.

## Which Challenges qualify

The reward applies when all of the following are true:

* The Challenge has two stages. One-stage Challenges don't carry a reward.
* The Challenge was paid for, in USDT or USDC, in full or partly with HH Coins. A Challenge received for free carries no reward.
* The Challenge was bought after this reward program launched.

The reward is paid once, for Stage 1 only. There's no reward for Stage 2.

## How much you get

The reward equals 2% of the Stage 1 profit target, in dollars. The Stage 1 target is 5% of the account size.

| Account size | Stage 1 target (5%) | Reward |
| ------------ | ------------------- | ------ |
| $10,000      | $500                | $10    |
| $100,000     | $5,000              | $100   |

## How to claim it

Once you clear Stage 1, a banner appears on the Challenge page with a **Claim reward** button. Click it, and the reward is credited to your Wallet right away.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you don't claim the reward before reaching the Trader stage, it expires.
{% endhint %}

## Withdrawing the reward

The reward is added to your overall Wallet balance and withdrawn through a regular payout request, along with the rest of your funds. For this reward specifically, the minimum withdrawal is **$1**, lower than the usual $100 minimum described in [Profit Share and Payouts](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/profit-payouts).

Quick answers to the questions we hear most often.

<details>

<summary>What payment methods are available?</summary>

For Challenge payments we accept **USDT or USDC**, on these networks: ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Solana. See [How to buy a Challenge](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/buy-challenge).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I take part in several Challenges at once?</summary>

Yes, up to the **Trader** stage. On **Trader** you can trade only one Challenge of each denomination (account size); a passed Challenge that has to wait gets the **Trader Transition** status. See [Rules, stages and loss limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules) and [Your accounts and stages](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/accounts-stages). Denominations are counted per market: a $100,000 US Stocks Challenge and a $100,000 Crypto + TradFi Challenge are different denominations, so both can trade at the Trader stage.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What rules must I follow during a Challenge?</summary>

Stay within the daily and total loss limits and reach each stage's profit target. Arbitrage and manipulation are forbidden; any other strategy is allowed. See [Rules, stages and loss limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens if I exceed a loss limit?</summary>

If any loss limit is exceeded, the Challenge is permanently failed, unless you use Daily Loss Protection, which covers the daily limit. See [Rules, stages and loss limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules).

</details>

<details>

<summary>How is the daily loss limit calculated?</summary>

Daily loss = current Equity − Balance at the start of the day. **Balance** is your account after all closed positions and fees; **Equity** includes open positions too. The daily limit updates at **00:00–00:13 UTC+4** on a Crypto + TradFi account, and at **08:00–08:10 UTC+4** on a US Stocks one. See [How the daily loss limit is calculated](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/daily-loss-calculation).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do open positions affect the loss limits?</summary>

Yes. Open positions (unrealized profit and loss) are part of Equity, so they directly affect your limits. See [How the daily loss limit is calculated](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/daily-loss-calculation).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is the maximum leverage?</summary>

Leverage of up to **1:5** is available. See [Adjusting leverage](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/leverage).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Is Stop Loss mandatory?</summary>

No. But you must stay within the loss limits. If a limit is hit, positions are force-closed and the Challenge ends, unless you use Daily Loss Protection, which covers the daily limit. See [Rules, stages and loss limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I keep positions open for several days?</summary>

On a Crypto + TradFi account, yes: just watch the loss limits, because open positions count toward them. On a US Stocks account, no: every position is closed automatically at the end of the trading day. See [Trading US Stocks](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/stocks-terminal).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I trade on weekends or during major news?</summary>

Yes. We don't restrict trading during news events or on weekends.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Is spot trading available?</summary>

Not for crypto. On a Crypto + TradFi account you trade futures; on a US Stocks account you trade US stocks with leverage. See [Trading US Stocks](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/stocks-terminal).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I trade in different margin modes at the same time?</summary>

No. You can use either Cross or Isolated margin at a time. To switch, first close all positions and limit orders in the current mode. See [Margin mode: Isolated and Cross](/hashhedge-user-guide/trading-terminal/margin-mode).

</details>

<details>

<summary>I passed the Challenge. What's next?</summary>

You get a funded account where you trade the company's capital and keep 80% of the profit, or 90% if you added the +10% Profit Split option when buying that Challenge. The switch to the **Trader** stage is immediate. See [Becoming a Trader](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/becoming-a-trader).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is a trading day?</summary>

Any day on which you opened at least one position. Opening on one day and closing on another still counts as one trading day, and each stage of the Two-stage Challenge needs a **minimum of 5**, the One-stage Challenge **3**. See [Rules, stages and loss limits](/hashhedge-user-guide/rules/challenge-rules).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Are there withdrawal limits?</summary>

Yes: you can withdraw 80% of your profit (90% with Profit Split) every 14 days; the maximum is $10,000 per account per 14 days, and the minimum is $100. See [Profit share and payouts](/hashhedge-user-guide/account-and-payouts/profit-payouts).
