# Additional options at checkout

When you buy a Challenge you are offered two additional options. **+10% Profit Split** raises your profit share on the Trader stage, and **Daily Loss Protection** gives your daily loss limit a one-time safety net. Both cost extra, both are optional, and are added at checkout.

***

## +10% Profit Split

By default, a **Trader** keeps **80%** of the profit. Turn on **+10% profit split** at checkout and that share rises by 10 percentage points, so you keep **90%** of the profit once you reach the Trader stage.

It changes your share on the **Trader** stage only, not the Challenge rules and not the loss limits.

## Daily Loss Protection

Reaching the **daily loss limit** normally ends a Challenge. Daily Loss Protection is a one-time safety net: instead of failing, the system closes your open positions, cancels your open orders and refreshes your daily loss limit, so the Challenge carries on.

* It works **once**.
* It works on **every stage**, including **Trader**.
* It does not cover the **total loss limit**. When that is reached, the Challenge is permanently failed.

## How to add them

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
On the checkout screen, find the **options** block, below the account size.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Tick **+10% profit split**, **Daily Loss Protection**, or both. **No options** means neither of them: an 80% profit share and the standard limits.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Complete payment as usual. Option prices scale with your account size. You can also pay for them with HH Coins, see [Cashback Balance (HH Coins)](/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/cashback-balance.md).
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Each option applies only to the Challenge you buy it on. A Challenge can be passed without them: the default is an 80% profit share and the standard limits.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://hashhedge.gitbook.io/hashhedge-user-guide/start-here/profit-split.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
